One Team Logic

Just 3 years in the making, Martin, Mike and Darryl had successfully built and were rapidly selling their safeguarding software MyConcern® to schools and sporting bodies across the UK.  We were delighted to help the team secure £3.2m of development capital from Octopus Investments, to further accelerate growth and drive the business into new markets and sectors.

One Team Logic seeks to address issues arising from schools, and other institutions working with young children holding safeguarding records in paper-based files. Such systems inevitably lack real time reporting and trend analysis and are prone to oversight and inefficiency. Reporting of serious case issues are consistently missed causing untold harm to vulnerable children and young adults.  MyConcern rectifies this, allowing issues to be identified and resolved early on.

The business has secured a strong foothold in the school and sports sectors and was seeking growth capital to become the dominant player in their existing markets whilst expanding into new territories and sectors.

We worked closely with the business early on, challenging and supporting the Board in a hands-on manner to allow their business plan and financial forecasts to be brought to life in a robust and commercially attractive form. After presenting the business to a range of investors, we leveraged our independent position to negotiate the best deal for the business and were instrumental in navigating the inevitable speed bumps that arise in every transaction.
